Vintage Tourmaline, Amethyst, Citrine, Aquamarine and Diamond, 18ct Yellow Gold Bird Brooch

A stunning, fine and impressive vintage tourmaline, amethyst, citrine, aquamarine and 0.60ct diamond, 18 carat gold bird brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewellery and estate jewelry collections

This stunning, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with 18ct white gold settings.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of an exotic bird perched on a branch.

The bird’s swept, splayed tail terminates with five individually collet set cabochon cut gemstones, including: 2.76ct tourmaline (across two stones), 1.01ct amethyst, 0.92ct citrine and 0.84ct aquamarine.

The body of the bird features a white gold wing in relief, ornamented with seven pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds.

The head of bird incorporates a collet set 0.01ct emerald representing the eye, in addition to three eight-cut diamonds to the extended crown.

The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp fastening.

This 1950s brooch is hallmarked to the pin with the Swedish Three Crowns National mark, gold fineness mark (18ct) and the maker’s mark (KA); the piece has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.

This impressive brooch is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report card.

The combination of colourful gemstones with brilliant diamonds gives the brooch a lively and elegant character, while the sculptural bird design reflects the enduring appeal of nature-inspired jewellery seen throughout vintage high jewellery collections. Its playful yet refined aesthetic makes it particularly appropriate for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, celebratory achievements, or meaningful life transitions.

This vintage bird brooch is excellent quality, set with impressive gemstones displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence.

The high colour graded diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.

The brooch is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with clear hallmarks to the pin.
