This exceptional, fine and impressive synthetic ruby and diamond bracelet has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.
The bracelet consists of eight delicate pierced decorated, quatrefoil shaped articulated links, each ornamented with a feature collet set Old European round cut diamond to the centre of the arrangement.
Fourteen pavé set Old Dutch cut diamonds and nine channel set calibré cut synthetic rubies embellish the borders of each link; the stones alternating between the upper and lower borders.
The feature links interconnect and articulate via eight small links, each individually claw set with a Dutch cut diamond held in high relief.
This impressive antique ruby and diamond bracelet secures with a push fit clasp and benefits from the additional security of a fine link safety chain.
This antique bracelet has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum.
The bracelet is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
NOTE: * Contrary to what many people may think, the word “synthetic” does not mean fake when it comes to gemstones. In order for a material to be called “synthetic” it must have a natural counterpart. A synthetic ruby will have the same chemical composition as a natural ruby and therefore have an almost identical appearance to the naked eye.
The first ruby formed by melting two smaller rubies together was in 1817, and the first microscopic crystals created from alumina in a laboratory in 1837.
Common practice was to set and enhance fine quality antique jewellery with vibrant and colourful synthetic stones.

The bracelet is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.
