This stunning, fine and impressive antique necklace and brooch combination has been beautifully crafted in 15ct yellow gold with a silver setting.
The pierced decorated, sinuous frame is embellished with a feature claw 0.69ct and 0.65ct Old European round cut diamond, to the centre and apex of the design.
The central feature diamond is surmounted with a leaf-shaped setting ornamented with two pavé set diamonds.
The scrolling frame is richly embellished with sixty-two pavé-set diamonds in a charming mix of Old European, mine, and Dutch cuts. At the base, an articulated drop is set with three additional pavé diamonds, completing the graceful silhouette.
This feature pendant design suspends from a detachable 18″ platinum chain; the chain secures via two small spring-loaded bolt fastenings to the upper border of the setting.
This versatile piece of Edwardian jewellery may also be worn as a brooch, securing with a conventional hinged pin and clasp fastening to the reverse of the setting; the piece could be converted to solely be a pendant upon request.
The side of the frame bears the French import marks for gold (owl) and silver (swan)*, confirming both metal fineness and the piece’s historical origins. Independently tested using advanced Niton XL2 Analyzer technology, it is verified as 15ct gold, silver, with a platinum chain.

This exceptional Edwardian pendant/brooch is supplied with two IDGL diamond grading certificates for the principal stones, along with an IDGL report card for the supporting diamonds. It is presented in a superb hinged leatherette case with velvet and satin interior; the larger capacity bespoke fitment to include the chain indicates the high quality of the piece. The interior of the cover bears the French retailer’s mark ‘Ate Bigot, 15 Rue Moyenne, Bourges’*.
